🌍 Our team had the pleasure of attending the "Redefining Ownership: Tokenization and Next-Generation Markets" panel at Token2049 Singapore!

Here are their key takeaways:

ETHMilan in Milan, Italy 🇮🇹

Our BD Associate Daria attended ETHMilan 2024 🇮🇹 from the 26th til the 28th of September.

Here are some instances that got her attention:

🍕Internet Computer Protocol Italia and Berachain are everywhere, the community is one of the strongest she’s ever seen, especially for 🐻

🍕DeFi and CEXs are the major focus of Italian community

🍕Utility tokens, memecoins and RWAs are NOT seen at all….

🍕Feels like Italy is stuck in 2021 cycle, but actively trying to push towards bullish sentiment

🍕Diversity is a big gap: only ~1% female presence!

🍕Lots of great developers and PMs, working in web2 and doing hackathons in web3.

European Blockchain Convention in Barcelona, Spain 🇪🇸

Yannick Slenter, our product advisor, also represented Defactor in attending the European Blockchain Convention hosted in Barcelona, Spain 🇪🇸 that happened on the 25th-26th September.

Here are some insights he had:

🧑‍💻 Great focus on digital assets, mostly related to financial assets. It was interesting to see many (local) banks attending and seeing more companies focused on bridging the gap between traditional finance and the web3.

🧐 Combination of exchanges, protocols, tokenisation projects present. Some more established, some were startups.
